Right now I'm looking for some gems to put on my Netflix queue, or look for wherever. Horror, horror/comedy, horror/thriller, slasher, anything in the horror branch. Let's say... from the 1960's to 2008. So, any recommendations folks? What are some lesser known or underrated favorites of the WYH crew? And of course, us fans? To get things started, I think both movies directed by Robert Englund are quite entertaining and underrated. 976-Evil and Killer Pad. The former is a fun horror/thriller, and the latter is a hilarious horror/comedy. Thanks.

You know what's funny, I actually have The Dark Backward on VHS, amongst a large pile of VHS tapes I got for cheap. "Three thumbs up!". I've never seen it, also I don't think it's a horror film, even if it is horrifying. Or is it?

Nah it's not horror, but it's one of my favorite obscure movies so I added it

"The house on haunted hill" with Vincent Price is good. "The Dunwich Horror" wasn't bad, not exactly true to the Lovecraft story but worth a watch. "The Host" was really good if you either speak Korean or don't mind reading subtitles.

I don't think any list like this is complete without a mention of bubba-ho-tep, I find this movie endlessly entertaining for some reason.

Definitely. I love that movie, they are supposed to be making a sequel called Bubba Nosferatu.

Hey all!
One of my favorite horror movies (well, horror/dark comedy) is “Ed and his dead mother”. It stars Steve Buscemi and Ned Beatty, it doesn’t get much better than that.
Of course, when you mention Ned Beatty, you have to think of “Deliverance”, not a horror film but still scary.
