Saw the previews the other night. These devil/demon/exorcism genre of movies always spark my interest, but the last one I saw, Exorcism of Emily Rose, I really thought sucked pretty bad. I'm gonna hold out hope for this new one though. The previews look cool but odds are it will suck too. If that's the case, do you think maybe once you see the Exorcist, that after that no other exorcism movie will equal up to that? Maybe once you've seen the Exorcist, you've pretty much seen it all in the form of what happens in Exorcism/Devil/Demon movies, so for every other movie after the Exorcist it's pretty much "yeah, yeah, yeah been there done that..." You'd think they could come up with new, scary shit involving possessed people and exorcisms right? Let's hope this one brings it.

I just saw this today and I thought it was a great film. Not as good as The Exorcist 1 or 3, but way better than Emily Rose and Exorcist The Beginning. I have a feeling a lot of people will hate the ending but I really dug it.

I'm probably gonna go check this out tonight. I wanted to wait till October to see it to keep with the scary movie month theme, but I'm doubting if it will still be around by then or not? But tonight, it depends what I'm in the mood for, I'm either gonna see this or expendables

I finally saw this tonight and I gotta tell ya, I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I usually go into seeing movies like this genre with high expectations, cause they're usually the ones that freak me out the most, cause you know, being an adult makes it harder to get scared, but these movies always seem to get me. So, I have these high expectations where I get excited about them but then they turn out to suck! -but this one didn't and it was pretty good. I won't go into any detail like I usually do cause this is still kinda knew and alotta people haven't seen it, but I thought it was really good and you should go check it out. There has been alot of talk about the ending, so I went into watching this not knowing what to expect, but I gotta tell ya...I liked the ending and thought it worked. So, if you haven't seen it just give it a chance it's not that bad. Best horror movie I've seen in awhile!

Mr. 666? You mean Uncle Satan?
He's been ignoring me for twenty years now. I stopped offering to sell my soul, and now just say, "You know I'm here, my soul is yours. Please let me know if you ever need something".
The man must have a lot of help.
Impossible to top The Exorcist. Just like it is impossible to top The Shining or The Haunting (1963) in terms of haunted house movies.
Like Killer Rob, I don't scare except these kind of movies get under my skin. The exorcist is fucking scary, and I don't even believe in the devil. Emily Rose was terrible and so was Quarantine.
I recommend Devil's Rain and House of the Devil.
SPOILERSPOILERSPOILER!
In Devil's Rain, Ernest Borgnine transforms into Satan. He looks awesome in goat make-up and the movie co-stars William Shatner and Tom Skerritt. Cult classics are my favorite genre of movies....

anton levay himself had a hand in devil's rain i do beleive . the last exorcism does not try to compete with the exorcist . it's a different kind of possession flick . you'd like the concept that made me laugh and the mr. 666 i was referring to was jhuddy above me so to speak. hey that rhymes i'm a poet but i sorta know it
