Seen something that proves the end is fucking nigh? Share the horror here.
My first clue it's the endtimes. After thirty years, there is finally peace for these mortal enemies. Unthunkable.

A long copy and paste job, credit The Sun out of The UK. Rise of the zombie flesh-eaters
The Sun investigates the UK link with US drug cannibals By PETE SAMSON
A WAVE of gruesome cannibal attacks that have left Americans fearing a “zombie apocalypse” is being fuelled by a drug imported from the UK, The Sun can reveal. The mind-bending narcotics that make users eat living human flesh are bought off the internet — labelled as BATH SALTS. Cops have been shocked by a surge in frenzied attacks by people, which includes: • HOMELESS Ronald Poppo, 65, had three-quarters of his FACE chewed off by Rudy Eugene, 31, who was high on the drug when cops shot him dead last month in Miami. The officers had repeatedly ordered him to stop but he just growled at them like a wild animal. Poppo is now partially blind. • MUM Pamela McCarthy, 35, who was tasered by cops as she attacked her three-year-old son this month. She had a cardiac arrest and died in hospital in New York. • CRAZED Carl Jacquneaux, 43, bit a chunk out of the face of his ex-wife’s new lover Todd Credeur, 48, when he turned up at her home in Lafayette, Louisiana, this month. • ON the same day, Brandon de Leon, 21, was restrained in a Hannibal Lecter-style face mask when he tried to bite off the hands of cops who arrested him in Miami. He screamed at them: “I’m going to eat you.” Another user said the “bath salts” made him feel “evil” — and convinced him he was possessed by Jason Voorhees, the psycho in the Friday the 13th movies Freddy Sharp, 27, from Tennessee, said: “It felt like the darkest, evilest thing imaginable. I was hallucinating about being in an insane asylum and being possessed by Jason Voorhees. I couldn’t stop whatever was in me.” TV reporter Cenk Uygur watched footage of Freddy being restrained by medics and said: “He looks like a zombie. People are talking about a zombie apocalypse and all these people eating each other. I cannot fathom why you would do bath salts that make you want to eat someone’s face off.” US authorities fear the cannibalistic attacks could become a pandemic. They have discovered that many shipments are coming from the UK. In an investigation by network NBC, a girl of 16 ordered a batch from a firm which, despite saying it did not sell to under-18s, soon delivered. A reporter said: “Just days later, the drugs arrived from England to the NBC studios. Even more alarming is cops that say they cannot stop the sale of the drugs as they are not illegal.” The Sun knows of several British “bath salts” sites which boast delivery to the US in five-to-eight working days — but we will not print the addresses. One mockingly suggests users put them in their bathtub to help “erase fatigue and invigorate the body”. It says the products are offered “for scientific research purposes only” and are “not designed for human consumption”. But it also advises buyers to use the drug “sparingly” and predicts the effects will last for several hours. No mention is made, however, of the risk that users will turn into the crazed, flesh-eating monsters horrifying America. Earlier this month, a naked man was arrested ranting and screaming outside the Los Angeles home of British actor Orlando Bloom, 35. He was said to be manic and sweaty as he prowled the estate. Users of the drug have reported feeling incredibly hot, which is why many strip off. They can also develop superhuman strength — meaning it can take five or six men to restrain them. They become so manic and delusional that the term “excited delirium” is being used to describe their mental state. The shocking wave of attacks has sparked fears of a real-life zombie outbreak as seen in movies such as Dawn Of The Dead. The dangers of so-called legal highs has hit the headlines in the UK in recent weeks with two incidents linked to a new “bath salts” drug called Benzo Fury Alex Herriet, 19, died after taking the £10 high at the Rockness festival in Scotland. And Katie Wilson, 19, paraded naked in a Tesco in Bourne, Lincs, after taking the drug. The “bath salts” are actually a cocktail of amphetamine-like chemicals, mainly mephedrone, MDPV and methylone. Authorities in the US and UK have tried to close loopholes allowing the drugs to be sold. Last year America’s Drug Enforcement Administration imposed a 12- month emergency ban on the three chemicals. MDPV is illegal in the UK. But experts have warned the current rules are ineffective.
David Shurtleff, of the National Institute on Drug Abuse in the States, explained drug makers are constantly “tweaking” the molecular structure of the substance to get round regulations while maintaining the effects. Dr Shurtleff said: “The problem is that chemists are very clever.” The number of calls America’s Poison Control Centers receive about the drug rose from 304 in 2010 to 6,138 in 2011. Addiction expert Dr Deborah Mash of University of Miami says the problem should chill people to the bone. She said: “This is almost like a science fiction episode where someone creates a dangerous molecule and it is released into the public. The results are terrifying in the extreme.”Things have got so out of hand in America that many people feared a mutant virus was to blame. The Centre for Disease Control and Prevention had to release a statement saying it is not aware of any virus that can cause zombie-like behaviour. Addiction expert Dr Karen Hylen believes the cannibals were already disturbed — and that eating human flesh can become addictive. Dr Hylen said: “It takes a very disordered psyche to become interested in cannibalism. But once a person entertains such fantasies and acts on them, eating flesh will release brain chemicals that can make the process addictive.” Luka Magnotta, 29, is the most infamous recent “flesh eater” after he was held on suspicion of killing and eating a lover. But the Canadian oddball, who lived in London for a while, is not known to have used “bath salts”. The Home Office said it is trying to root out the “bath salts” menace. A spokesman said: “MDPV is an illegal and harmful drug and stiff penalties are in place for people who possess or supply it. Drugs ruin lives which is why we are taking tough action against dealers and criminal gangs and helping people to free themselves from the cycle of dependency.” For all the mugshots of these sick freaks and a sad picture of one of the victims in rehab after losing his face, go to www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/4390934/Rise-of-the-zombie-flesh-eaters.html"The problem is that chemists are very clever", explains a government employeed genius. I thought that was funny. When there is no more room in Hell, the dead will walk the earth.

The weird thing is that the majority of people who use them don't turn into flesh crazed maniacs. I've read plenty of accounts by people that used them and had euphoric experience similar to acid, more like mushrooms but speedy it seems. Years ago there was another drug, that was sold in pharmacies, I think it was used for treating respiratory problems you could just buy it over the counter and it was some kind of mixture that included belladonna. A spoonful of the stuff would literally put you in an alternate world, it was also really dangerous stuff. Makes me wonder if this was originally meant to be a medicine for something.

Here we go again.... Credit the British newspaper The Independent. Here is the article. www.independent.co.uk/news/world/asia/chinese-cannibal-attack-caught-on-video-as-drunken-bus-driver-chews-off-womans-face-7903914.htmlChinese 'cannibal' attack caught on video as drunken bus driver chews off woman's face
The incident is the latest in a string of worldwide 'cannibal' attacks A drunken bus driver left a woman needing plastic surgery after leaping on her and chewing her face, in the latest in a string of worldwide 'cannibal' attacks.
The entire incident, which took place last Tuesday in the city of Wenzhou in south eastern China, was caught on camera and posted on YouTube.
The bus driver, named locally as Dong, had apparently been drinking heavily during a lunch with friends before running out into a busy street and stopping traffic.
He proceeded to jump onto the bonnet of a car driven by his victim, identified as ‘Du’, and hammer on the windscreen while Du sat inside screaming.
As Du scrambled out of the car to escape, Dong chased after her, catching her and biting her face. As the two fell to the ground, Dong continued to chew on her face, leaving Du with major damage to her nose and lips.
Passers-by said they attempted to pull Dong off Du, but said he was so ‘crazed’ that they were unable to. Eventually police arrived at the scene and restrained and arrested him.
The attack is the latest in a string of ‘face chewing’ incidents around the world.
In May, 31-year-old Rudy Eugene ate the face of 65-year-old homeless man Ronald Poppo in Miami. Poppo lost his left eye, had his right eye badly damaged, and suffered extreme injuries to the rest of his face after Eugene attacked him. Eugene was shot and killed by police during the incident.
Also in May, Alexander Kinyua, a 21-year-old Morgan State University student, admitted to murdering his roommate Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie and eating his brain and heart. The Kenyan student had apparently ranted on Facebook about 'mass human sacrifices' before the attack in the Baltimore suburbs.
In June, 26-year-old Charles Baker removed his clothes, stormed into his girlfriend’s house and bit and ate a chunk of a man’s arm, before powering through police taser guns until being tackled.
In another incident a 21-year-old man burst into a Florida restaurant shouting obscenities, and tried to bite the hand off a police officer.
And again in May, the Canadian porn star Luka Magnotta allegedly murdered his 33-year-old Chinese lover Jun Lin in a Montreal flat on the evening of May 24. Parts of the university student’s body were then posted to political offices in the city of Ottawa, including the Canadian Prime Minister’s party HQ.
A ten-minute video entitled ‘One Lunatic, One Ice Pick’ was posted online after the killing. The footage shows a man thought to be Magnotta attacking his naked, tied-up victim with an ice pick, before hacking him to pieces, eating parts of his flesh, and performing sexual acts on his corpse.

Credit The New York Times. QINGDAO, China — It was enough to make a trio of heavily tattooed young men stop their playful splashing and to prompt a small boy to run to his mother in alarm: a woman rising out of the choppy waves of the sea, her head wrapped in a neon-orange ski mask.
Unwillingness to tan has long been part of Chinese culture.
As she made her way toward the shore, more people stared. A man floating in a yellow inner tube nudged his female companion, who muttered the question many others must have been asking themselves: “Why is she wearing that?”
“I’m afraid of getting dark,” said the mask-wearer, Yao Wenhua, 58, upon emerging from the seaweed-choked waters of this seaside city in China’s eastern Shandong Province. Eager to show why she sacrificed fashion for function, Ms. Yao, a retired bus driver, peeled the nylon over her forehead to reveal a pale, unwrinkled face.
“A woman should always have fair skin,” she said proudly. “Otherwise people will think you’re a peasant.”
For legions of middle-class Chinese women — and for those who aspire to their ranks — solar protection is practically a fetish, complete with its own gear. This booming industry caters to a culture that prizes a pallid complexion as a traditional sign of feminine beauty unscathed by the indignities of manual labor. There is even an idiom, which women young and old know by heart: “Fair skin conceals a thousand flaws.”
With the pursuit of that age-old aesthetic ideal at odds with the fast-growing interest in beachgoing and other outdoor activities, Chinese women have come up with a variety of ways to reconcile the two. Face masks like Ms. Yao’s have taken this popular beach town by storm. In cities, the summertime parasol is a more familiar accouterment, many adorned with rhinestones, lace or sequins (and sometimes all three). Those who need both hands free are fond of the tinted face shield, the perfect accessory for riding a bike — or welding. The fashion-conscious favor a chiffon scarf draped over the face.
What about arms exposed to the sun’s tanning rays? A search on China’s equivalent of Amazon yielded 20,000 results for “sun protection gloves.” These varied from form-fitting leopard-print sleeves that end at the wrist to arm-length gloves made of black lace.
Meanwhile, drugstore shelves across China bulge with rows of creams and cosmetic masks with names like White Swan and Snow White, promising a natural-looking aristocratic hue. SKIPPIN' AHEAD A BIT .....Few adults were entirely comfortable swimming in the ocean, judging by the ubiquity of inflatable armbands, inner tubes and rafts. Floating among them, looking like a flock of colorful waterfowl, were a number of women in masks. Some had even donned wet suits for total sun protection.
The masks, a relatively new product made of stretchy fabric commonly used in bathing suits, elicited a range of reactions from beachgoers.
“That is way over the top,” said Sun Li, 43, a gynecologist from Henan Province, when asked about the face masks. But Ms. Sun herself sat under an umbrella wearing a sun hat, sunglasses, a polka-dot surgical mask, a long-sleeve shirt and lace gloves. A shirt was draped over her legs for good measure.
Nearby, Li Benye lay on newspaper, shaded by twin parasols. Despite her commitment to paleness, she found the masks mystifying.
“They’re foreigners, right?” she asked. “Russians, most likely.”
While fair skin is prized across Asia, the women were, in fact, Chinese. The masks not only made them impervious to ultraviolet rays but also self-consciousness.
“Does it look like I care what people think?” bellowed Su Ailing, 57, clad in a red mask, blue goggles and a wetsuit. “The tourists dress skimpy, but we locals know how to protect our skin.”
The masks are a specialty of Qingdao, a German colony before World War I that is home to the Tsingtao Brewery. A few weeks ago, photographs of local women wearing such attire spread widely on the Internet, setting off mockery online but also a run on nearby shops.
“I just had to have one,” said Liu Jia, 32, the whites of her eyes gleaming through the holes of a pink mask, which matched the polka-dot sarong tied around her shoulders. Finding the item, she said, had proved arduous, with many store owners refusing to admit they had masks in stock. “I had to beg and plead,” she said.
The sudden scarcity, it turns out, may not have been a simple case of demand outrunning supply. After the photographs caught the attention of the nation, the local government ordered businesses to stop selling them, according to several shop owners, who said they were told the ban was due to concerns over “quality control.”
One seller, who declined to be identified for fear of angering the authorities, kept her supply of masks hidden under the counter. Only after repeated requests and vows of secrecy did she agree to part with one for 20 renminbi, about $3. “I don’t understand why the government is doing this,” she said, glancing nervously at the front door. “People just don’t want to get tan.”
Reached by phone, the Qingdao Administration for Industry and Commerce denied playing the role of fashion police. “Anybody who wants one is free to buy it in Qingdao,” said a man who gave his name as Director He.
So what explains the skittishness of so many proprietors? “The only reason why people think they shouldn’t be selling masks,” he replied, “is probably because they’re afraid thugs might use them for robbing banks.” EDIT, just for the record, I haven't drank a Tsingtao or any other ChiCom "beers" for close to two decades. Gimme a Texas-cold Lonestar any day.

A majority of Republicans in Connecticut can suck my balls. Again. Credit Politico. Dammit, Chris Shays is a very good guy. Linda McMahon crushes Chris Shays in Senate primaryBy KATE NOCERA | 8/14/12 8:52 PM EDT
World Wrestling Entertainment magnate Linda McMahon will have her second chance in the ring in November after demolishing her moderate Republican challenger, former Rep. Chris Shays, in the Connecticut Senate primary.
With 94 percent of precincts reporting late Tuesday night, McMahon was routing Shays, 73 to 27 percent, the AP reported. Continue Reading
McMahon will take on Congressman Chris Murphy, who beat State Secretary Susan Bysiewicz in the Democratic primary. The two will now battle it out for the Senate seat vacated by retiring Sen. Joe Lieberman. With 92.5 percent of precincts reporting, Murphy was beating Bysiewicz, 67.5-32.5 percent.
This is McMahon’s second faceoff in a general election. She failed to ride the Republican wave of 2010, losing to Richard Blumenthal by 12 points despite spending $50 million of her own fortune.
But her primary victory Tuesday was no surprise: She had been ahead in the polls over Shays for months. The McMahon campaign engaged in an intense get-out-the-vote effort Tuesday and arranged for rides for supporters to attend a victory party in Stamford, the Hartford Courant reported.
“We can start by giving all the career politicians who got us into this mess a pink slip,” McMahon said in a victory statement Tuesday night. “We can’t keep sending people like Chris Murphy, who made the mess in Washington, back to clean it up. He’s had his chance. And after six years, what do we have? More spending, more debt and higher unemployment.”
The New York Times reported that Shays said he would support McMahon in the general election and told reporters her financial resources ultimately “trumped the experience we bring to the table.”
McMahon had the backing of the Connecticut GOP, beating the 21-year congressman at the Republican convention. Shays regularly attacked her spending on the trail and said he knew taking her on was an uphill battle. He argued he had the experience to know how to fix Washington, while McMahon touted her business credentials and painted the former congressman as an out-of-touch longtime Washington insider.
He conceded to McMahon around 9 p.m, the Hartford Courant reported. He was vastly outspent by McMahon; according to the latest information available from the Center for Responsive Politics, she had spent over $11 million to his $1.2 million.
McMahon’s millions are sure to make the race competitive even though Connecticut is a state that usually turns blue in a presidential year. And she’s revamped her campaign this time around, talking less about her time as a CEO of a wrestling company and focusing more on her personal story. And it’s already close: A June Quinnipiac poll had Murphy edging McMahon out slightly, 46-43 percent.
“The coalition of regular, hard-working middle class folks who made this resounding victory possible tonight will guarantee that Linda McMahon will not buy the election this fall,” said Murphy in a statement. “That’s the contrast in this election.”
But while her name recognition remains high throughout the state, her unfavorable numbers do as well: A recent Public Policy Polling survey showed 48 percent of voters had an unfavorable view of McMahon versus 42 percent who had a favorable impression.
The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee immediately attacked McMahon after the race was called.
“Linda McMahon is a greedy CEO who made millions marketing sex and violence to little kids, all at the expense of the health and safety of her own employees,” said executive director Guy Cecil. “Everything about McMahon’s record, principles, and agenda prove that she is wrong for Connecticut. There isn’t enough money in the world to convince Connecticut voters otherwise.”

Well I am going to self-censor. I won't post the youtube trailer here but just a link, for your viewing pleasure. I won't even name the trailer so as not to bring problems to this site or it's hosts and hostess. www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHXyzPCv76I&feature=player_detailpageThis trailer, to me, is funny and b-movie awful/genius. Terrible special effects and awful dubbing of the most controversial lines of dialogue behind the cast's backs and to their horror and disgust this week. A funny trailer, but a tragic one in its consequences leading to violence to our diplomats and servicemen, but in my book, not criminal. We do have freedom of speech in America. America is where an Andrew Dice Clay can become a success, not a man living in terror like a Salman Rushdie. This trailer WAS a boneheaded and hateful act. But funny, really funny, and terrible in the desire to (I suspect) inflame sensitive god-fearing peoples to prove himself right. And boy-howdy, did he ever prove himself right. A fucking shit-storm in the vast deserts beyond our continent. What an asshole. This did lead to our government bracing for the attacks that came in North Africa and Yemen over the last three days and counting, and Romney sunk himself in this race with his accusations. Bah-bah Mittens McMonney. This Cheers! of Hans Pils is for Salman Rushdie and those four Americans who died serving their nation's interests and Libya's nascent democracy. Cheers!
