I won last month, LOB if you're up to I wish to challenge you in a rematch for this month, the theme being Japanese movies. The rules are as follows: 1 point for any non-horror Japanese film 2 points for any Japanese horror film

Sorry to have been AWOL my friend. I love this month's theme. Tomorrow (or maybe tonight after work) I start.
As I posted in my catch-up posts for the last two months, I worked a lot, two part time jobs and on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and even New Year's Day. Plus I was stressed out in the last few weeks because of my dealings with a hot but very imbalanced and confused gal. I had to call the cops at one point and deal with EMS at another. Sheesh. Presently working one job and searching for a second more lucrative new job. Also my plans to start a restaurant/bar or other business have sped up lately with that goal becoming a closer reality (Cheers! to me).
One of my very few New Year's resolutions is to become more active in these competitions and I am surely going to try. I do love these and talk often about what you and I have accomplished and watched in the last few years with my friends and co-workers.
So I will start to bring it and not just sing it....
Have a happy and successful 2015 my friend. Cheers!

I watched Beyond Outrage (2012), I'll post more of my thoughts on it a little later.

Sorry for the loooong delay posting. Like too often, I have been busy with work and exhausted. It looks like we tied in January so I offer African American Appreciation Month for these last days of February.
Back to the task at hand. I watched 13 Assassins (2010) by director Takashi Miike. Miike is known for two movies I respect, Ichi the Killer and Audition. Audition fucked me up because of my long time attraction to Asian women. It kinda freaked me out (the needles and bone saw scene).
13 Assassins was a great film that reminded me of Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai which is largely held to be the greatest Japanese movie of all time. So needless to say, I loved the experience of watching this new to me film.
