That movie broke my heart. The book is one of my favorite books ever - I've read it so many times. Steven Weber as Steve and Ron Perlman as Entragian should have been perfect casting, but the execution was way off and a lot of things that worked really well in King's prose didn't translate to the screen. Still worth watching, though, just to see Perlman pull someone over and play bad-cop. Happens a lot with King books...look at IT. The end of that was so bad in the movie....

Don't forget Tak the new Bachman book Blaze is out Tak now. Wait, is Tak in Blaze?!!

No...sorry to disappoint...Blaze is in the vein of the Bachman books...supposedly a "newly discovered" book by the late Richard. Doesn't sound too spooky to me, but to be fair I haven't read it yet...

Ah, thanks for clearing that up. Anything with a touch of Tak is buyable to me. I knew about the dubious 'newly discovered' manuscript, but by the plot outline, Tak really wouldn't fit in there - making it all the more interesting if it was.
