It seems like less and less horrors movies are coming out. Some came out this year and bombed big-time (ex: The Thing, Apollo 18, Creature) And we're starting to see a lot of PG-13 found-footage movies. Are heading towards a new horror movie slump just like in the mid-to-late 90's?

I dunno, but if Big Hollywood Horror goes through another slump, the festivals out there and direct to dvd is the place the best horror has been at for the last five years or so. Here in town we get Fantastic Fest which introduces sci-fi and horror movies months to years before a "major" theatrical release might happen.
Two sites are pretty good at weeding through the crap and reporting on movies being made, and then you just have to find them when they finally hit the independent theaters for a week or the next week when they get released as dvds, and I am exagerating a bit there. Check DreadCentral and Bloodydisgusting.com.
I can't find Dubliner Dr. Pepper, Madman, patience brother, it's worth it....
