I'm copying and pasting directly from bloodydisgusting.com, so credit to them and Masked Slasher. Lionsgate and WWE Eye the Pot o' Gold With a Leprechaun RemakeMasked Slasher's picture By Masked Slasher March 15th, 2012 Lionsgate and WWE Eye the Pot o' Gold With a Leprechaun RemakeWhy should only good horror films have to suffer the indignity of a remake? This is more like it! Just in time for Saint Paddy's Day comes word that Lionsgate and WWE Films are looking to exploit the yuck of the Irish (sorry) in a new incarnation of everyone's, um, favorite Leprechaun. Variety is reporting that Lionsgate and WWE have partnered on a two-picture deal starting with a Leprechaun remake. No word yet on any cast/crew, but we'll bring you more on this as we have it. Expect this sucker to hit sometime next year. No word on whether or not he'll be going back to space or terrorizing the ghetto any time soon. Leprechaun was originally released theatrically in 1993 and went on to inexplicably become a franchise consisting of six movies. Warick Davis played the titular character in every movie so I have to ask: Are there any die-hard Leprechaun fans out there who want to see him come back? Anyway, here's the trailer for the original film that started it all: So the article doesn't spell out who will have Warwick Davis' role. I know who it is! Little Beaver! I mean the Haiti Kid. Nope, that's not it. Has to be Lord Littlebrook! It has to be Sky Lowlow!

Two comments on the above picture.
1) Epic Fail 2) The Walking Condominium!
Drinking Real Ale from Blanco, Texas' Phoenix Double E.S.B. Before that a Sierra Nevada Ruthless Rye (R.P.A.). Fucking YUM!!! Before that a Guinness Foreign Extra Stout, my eighth version of a Guinness Stout from three different continents, and that doesn't include Guinness Black Lager, a noble effort. Sam Adams and Xingu of Brazil do a better job, but I guess I shouldn't downplay Irish beer this week.
That said, try a shot of espresso BLENDED in your next Guinness draught pint. I named it a Black Sunshine as some may know and its time to finish my Real Ale. Cheers!

Hornswoggle To Star In Leprechaun: Origins
WWE has announced that Hornswoggle will play the lead in Leprechaun: Origins. The company announced the news on WWE.com, with the news being broken on Twitter after Hornswoggle played "Hide and Tweet" at WrestleMania Axxess. Hornswoggle tweeted:
The #swogglesecret that I've been hinting at all week is that in March 2013 I will be starring in Leprechaun:Origins by WWE Studios!!!
As previously reported, WWE Studios is teaming with Lionsgate for the film, which reboots the Leprechaun horror franchise that starred Warwick Davis. Davis has come out against the idea of a reboot.

I gave the new Nightmare on Elm Street reboot a chance when it came out 2 years ago and I thought it was good. But Robert England is still Freddy and no one else should play that role as long as Robert England is able to do it. The same applies to the Leprechaun role. Warwick Davis is THE Leprechaun. I do not see why you would not have him reprise his role in a new Leprechaun movie and maybe give Hornswoggle another role (like as the protagonist). As a big Leprechaun fan (well parts 1-4 anyway) I will give this is a chance IF it gets an R rating. I am not sitting through any WWE PG / PG-13 bullshit. Well at least this reboot can't be any worse than Leprechaun: Back 2 Tha Hood... can it?
