I really enjoyed the film, I thought it was so original. The first hour or so was great, had me laughing. The ending was still good, but kind of reverted to a typical slasher.

Well it is pretty scarey, but at the same time it is a comedy and tongue in cheek. It's like a mockumentary following a slasher killer.

Great film, saw it last august at frightfest 06,it was the late night film & after all the mayhem of the day it was a good film to end the night with, had me laughing alot & answered those annoying questions you all say during a horror film. ie ohh i heard a noise lets see what it was,why didnt the victims do this or do that.ordered my copy just waiting for it now.

Yeah, it was kind of like taking the Scream idea one step further. I'm a big Christopher Guest fan, the first hour or so reminded me of his stuff.

Another film I picked up because of WYH. I thought this was a great find by Neal, I had never heard of it before. Very unique, not a perfect film but so different I would really watch it if you get the chance.

Saw it this afternoon, and I really enjoyed it. I'm a sucker for fake documentaries. It's kind of a contemporary American version of Man Bites Dog (it's old and French, but if you're not afraid of subtitles or B&W films, you need to see it). All the nods to horror movie lore were fun, and they had a great eye for little things - things as small as having the tire swing in the background of one of the openign shots swinging instead of staying still so that the environment was more interesting to watch. I'm not sure how much more "meta" can be sustained in horror films following flicks like Scream, Shaun of the Dead, Feast, Severence and this one, but this was still felt quite fresh. Spoilers ahead: Update on a possible sequel: www.bloody-disgusting.com/news/9311

So this was straight to DVD? This was really good considering most of the other movies I've seen that got that treatment. I really hope they get to do a sequel.
