i just saw the remake . i liked it more then most remakes . it was better then i expected not as good as i had hoped . i missed robert englund in the role but he doesn't want to do it anymore

He really should stick to playing monster roles too. He's not the most versatile actor and ends up in some real stinkers. Nightmare cafe for example. He was just terrible in it.

i read an interveiw in rue morgue with robert and he basically said that playing freddy was a young man's game so we should not feel sorry. as i recall and it was a while back that i read thee article he entirely endorsed some one new in the role

I saw it on the big screen. I liked it, but it wasn't as much fun as the sequels. The original NOMS was dark but not as dark as this re-boot. the original hinted that Freddy was a pederast. No hinting here.
One aspect I liked was predicting "Dream Time". I was pretty good. E.G. when the heroine climbs out of the bathtub her hair is wet. A moment later it wasn't. I figurred, "Dream Time", here comes Freddie. I was right nearly every time I saw a tiny clue like that.
It was really good, but like most re-makes, not as good as the original.
