Any fan of 80's and 90's action films should see this. It's got tons of action and funny one liners, plus seeing all the guys together is pretty cool.

saw it last night. I chose this over The American, which I want to see as well. I enjoyed the movie, really great combat exchanges in the movie. A few things that I could complain about if I wanted to, but all-in-all I liked it. I guess my ribbing of Stallone for only having Rambo: First Blood as his only good action movie is over, cause now he does officially have 2! -but with that cast, how could you go wrong? I was trying to figure out who the black guy was? -and I wondered why Wesley Snipes or even Carl Weathers didn't play that part? Going into the movie, I had no idea who Jason Statham was, and was kinda dogging him in my own mind like 'who the heck is this guy to be in the movie?', but turns out the dude is a badass and probably stole the show as the most interesting expendable. So yeah, good movie and they should definitely make a video game of it with all the close up violence and blood. Could you imagine going around in the video game and unleashing those knife throws? -awesome!

Statham is pretty famous, surprised you don't know him. Should check out some of his movies. I like the Crank films.

yeah, I had heard the name before, sounded familiar, but still had no idea who he was. I was impressed by his role in the movie so yeah I'll have to check out his previous work and look forward to his new projects.

I watched Die hard last night cause it's really the only Christmas themed action movie there is and I thought, "was Bruce willis in the expendables?'
-I can't remember but if he isn't, he shoulda been. Especially if you're gonna have an all star cast of the greatest action stars.

yeah, I saw the dvd cover with Willis' name on it and I do remember that church scene so knowing that Willis was indeed in the expendables means that I can rest peacefully at night.
still waiting on confirmation of who the black guy was/is!

Ya I saw this in the theater and it is one of the best action films I have ever seen. I marked out seeing Arnold, Bruce and Sly on screen at the same time. Lance Storm talking about how the film made no sense was just nitpicking at it's finest.

saw Crank on IFC and it was fucking great. Loved the theme, pace, style etc...Jason Statham rules. He's like a Y2K British version of Bruce Willis...even has the balding head. I especially liked how Crank had the perfect music score to go with each scene sequence. I've come to really appreciate a good music selection set in perfect pace with a movie. Jason Statham is a pure-bred action star!
