Saw this glorious slashathon in theaters on Sunday, glorious stuff. Inventive kills, gratuitous nudity, comedy, horror, Tony Todd, it's all there.

I'm curious as to what rating you thought the movie should be? I read an article last week where the MPAA were busting the director's balls on the rating. Green called the MPAA 'evil', and thinks it's a politics game cause his film isn't produced by a major company that's in bed with the MPAA. here's the link: popwatch.ew.com/2010/10/01/hatchet-2-unrated-mpaa-adam-green/

They decided to release it unrated, then it got pulled really quickly from the theatres. Such a shame.

Definitely harsh treatment, hopefully this movie does well on DVD.
I'd say it didn't deserve any more than an R. The gore its cartoony and there's some nudity, but all in all compared to the Hostel films and various other ones who knows why the MPAA wouldn't give it an R. Their system is pretty random.

Compared to Saw, this wasn't over the top. The MPAA is the wrong kind of evil.
