I thought Fright Night 3D was good. Not as good as the original by any means, but still good. Some really good 3D effects in this film but I will take practical effects like the ones in the original any day. Colin Farrell did a good job in his role as the main vampire but again, he was not as good as the original main vampire played by Chris Sarandon. I did notice that Chris is in the remake. After looking online to see which part he played, I never would have recognized him. McLovin is not nearly great as the original Evil and I usually love that guy as the nerdy character. But now that McLovin has done Fright Night, I expect his career to take a more X-Rated turn. I liked the new take on the Peter Vincent character, but AGAIN, not as good as the original. I also missed the "caretaker" character from the original. That dude was awesome! Also no boobs in the movie. BOO!

I really liked it. I liked all of the changed they made. I liked how they sped up the movie, since we've seen the story before about someone trying to convince people that there is something supernatural going on. This went right by that, which was fun.
I thought Ferrell was perfect. He really seems like a dick, so it fit the movie. Something about the way he kept saying "guy" was really funny to me.
McLovin was one of my favorite parts. Hard to beat Evil Ed, but I thought he was just as good honestly. He had some really funny lines. Troy and I popped when he said You're So Cool Brewster.
I enjoyed the change in Peter Vincent. Since the original character doesn't really exist anymore they updated it for something more current.
The 3D was a lot of fun. Sometimes they add 3D for no reason, and you don't see any effects. It really worked here, especially the burnt ambers stuff.
Good times by me.
