Alright I won last month, despite LOB smartly getting a large amount of points out of three movies. He expressed interest in another adaptation competition and in fact I had about 6 movies from last competition that I wanted to get to ,but was unable to do so. So for this month it's the same rules (any movie adaptation except for screenplays) and done with Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, and New Years holidays. So the rules are as follows: 1 point for any non-horror adaptation 2 points for any horror adaptation 3 points for any non-horror Holidays Season film 4 points for any horror Holiday Season film 5 points for any non-horror adapted Holiday Season film 6 points for any horror adapted Holiday Season film
Competition ends midnight at the end of the month California time, honor system at work, and films must be at least an hour long.
Bring it on and happy holidays LOB.

Sorry. I've been working every day this month, and I'm working at least fourteen days in a row. I might be off Monday. Key word is "might".
I love the competition for the month and I am watching my third movie tonight. So far I have two points.
Gots to jump in the shower and go to work! Cheers! Jake, I think I'll slam a beer in the next minute for ya and two great competitions in a row that I would love to be more active in! Sunday I'll watch a few movies at nighttime after my bartending shift. Shit, juggling four jobs is a job in itself....

I am so tired. I haven't had a day off since the end of November, and I won't till Christmas Day. I have watched four movies, all re-watches for me.
First I watched the great movie, based on a novel, The Warriors (1979), which like the novel, the film borrows elements from the Anabasis by Xenophon. I recommend this movie to all film lovers.
Second I watched Fight Club (1999) based on the novel of the same name and directed by David Fincher. I love this movie for the same reasons I love V for Vendetta, only a bit less.
Third I watched Zodiac (2007) based on the Robert Graysmith book about Arthur Leigh Allan, the SFPD, the Bay Area, the San Francisco Chronicle, and the unsolved Zodiac murders. Great movie directed by David Fincher.
Fourth I watched the remake of Friday the 13th (2009). This was the only turd of the bunch, and it was my second viewing after I watched it disgusted and disappointed on it's theatrical release night. Jason Voorhees is just ridiculous in this movie. Like Santa Claus, he is everywhere. Worst Jason ever....

So I only had two days off in a 33 day period. I didn't watch a crapful of movie I wanted to, I had a long list, and I want to do this theme competition again, maybe real soon.
I watched two more movies a bunch of days ago.
First I watched From Hell the 2001 American horror/mystery film directed by the Hughes brothers and loosely based on the graphic novel series of the same name by Alan Moore and Eddie Campbell about the Jack the Ripper murders. Great stuff.
Second I watched the adaptation of the novel by Cormac McCarthy, the great No Country For Old Men (2007) an American neo-Western thriller directed, written, and edited by Joel and Ethan Coen.
Including last night, I tried twice to watch the remake of Black Christmas, but I was exhausted from a brutal shift where I worked like a god, and I fell asleep. No points on that one.
