Hellraiser's Pinhead is next in line for a big screen makeover. Hot off the heels of Rob Zombie's Halloween remake, Dimension Films announced that Clive Barker's cult horror classic is ready for a re-imagining courtesy of French filmmakers Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo. Variety reports that the Inside duo will team up to write and direct the remake with Barker on board to produce. Production is gearing up for a pre-strike start. www.imdb.com

I could swear I read last year that Barker wrote the script for the remake.

I guess since it's the creator of the story it's not so bad. It seems Barker just always goes back to Hellraiser, making sequels now a remake.

Can't be worse than the 2 straight to video Hellraisers that came out last year like a month apart.

I actually never liked any of the Hellraisers. They simply never did it for me.

I always thought Barker was a pretentious creep.

I actually never liked any of the Hellraisers. They simply never did it for me. Like I said on the show, I felt the idea was great, but they never ended very well. I always feel Barker has good ideas that never really materialize, maybe a remake is a good idea here.
