Stanley Kubrick Is My All Time Favorite Director For me, it's a tie between Kubrick and Ridley Scott - The Duellists, Blade Runner, Alien and Gladiator are masterpieces, too - especially the first three -, and BR is my fav flick. But Kubrick, i admit, is a legend, and i doubt he'll ever be surpassed by anyone. His body of work is just amazing in quality and diversity. Unbelievable talent and vision.

I will admit that I own but have not watched The Green Mile or The Shawshank Redemption. Sacriligious, I know, and I have owned them for years. I don't know when, but I know there will be a time that I am meant to watch them. I really can't explain it to others, 'cause I barely understand it myself. It's a feeling inside. It's not time yet.
Mine.
1) The Shining, Kubrick's, he and Akira Kurosawa are my all time favorite directors, period. 2) Stand by Me 3) The Running Man 4) Creepshow 5) Salem's Lot 6) Pet Sematary (SPOILER!!!! Got to admit one of my all time most creeped out moments is when that undead kid cuts Ed Gwinn's achilles tendon with a straight edge from under the bed. I hate that kid mucho). 7) Maximum Overdrive 8) Misery 9) Christine 10) Cat's Eye
Notice how Cujo didn't make my list? Never seen the whole movie or Old Yeller, and not gonna.
