No "Stand By Me?" Given it's not a horror film, but it's an awesome movie.

1 Green Mile 2 Shawshank Redemption 3 Creepshow 4 Christine 5 Pet Sematary 6 Misery 7 Dolores Claiborne 8 Stand By Me 9 Dreamcatcher 10 It Good list. I would swap Pet Semetary and Stand By Me, though. Pet Semetary was one of those awesome movies when I was much younger, but I recently watched it, and the acting was terrible.

I used to always say Stand By Me and Shawshank were my 2 favorite. I've fallen in love with Kubrick movies that I've gotten older, I'd have to say The Shining is really one of the best horror movies ever made.

I forgot Needful Things and 1408. Loved them both but I don't think they'd make my ten. The Shining might make my top 50 just above The Lawnmower Man and Maximum Overdrive.

If this were limited to horror movies, It the movie and the book creeped me out. The Shining gave me night mares. But the best quality movies listed above in my opinion, are Shawshank Redemption, Green Mile and Stand By Me. In that order, but Shawshank Redemption is my favorite movie of all time. Dolores Claiborne also was the cause of several sleepless nights, that chick was freaky.

I've fallen in love with Kubrick movies that I've gotten older, I'd have to say The Shining is really one of the best horror movies ever made. I'd argue The Shining is one of the best movies ever made, period. The Kubrick legacy is just awesome, one masterpiece after another - not Eyes Wide Shut, though. Clockwork Orange is just brilliant. Bought the Blu-Ray recently, and still can't get enough of it.
