I buy allot of my movies previously viewed simply because I use to work at a blockbuster and they're always having some sort of deal on. I like to make my rounds to all sorts of places and different stores and just get good things. However I thought of something this morning and i'm just curious if anyone has an answer:
When I worked at Blockbuster it was my understanding that the store pays a substantial amount of money for each copy of the film they get so they can have the right to rent it making it a "rental copy". When I worked there previously viewed DVDs and VHS where just something new. There were some films we couldn't sell and had to send back and got our money back from the distributer. So I was wondering with previously viewed taking off the way it did how much cut of the sales do you think goes to the filmmaker?
I mean I would expect that Blockbuster is still paying the usual prices they pay to get the films so there should be some cut of that which goes to the filmmakers right? I don't know of anyone can answer me for sure...just thought i'd throw it out there.

I'm sure that when it comes to PV movies none of the money from the sale of the movie goes to the film makers I think it's all going to the video stores after all they bought the movie so why not. but in all honesty I've got no idea
