I know this crazy but I have never watched one before, just seen alot of the other westerns like yong guns and crap like that. What would be some good ones to start with? If there any fans here of the genra.

funny this post is here i got back from frightfest & what was on The good,The bad & The ugly. has anyone seen lucio fulci's western 'Four of the Apocalypse' i really enjoyed it but some people said they didnt.

Spaghetti Westerns are Western style Movies that were filmed in Italy, usually by Italian directors. In a less PC era, they were dubbed spaghetti westerns for that reason. As Irony, or Karma if you prefer, would have it, they were amongst the best of their time. They were a little more edgy than American made films. Though somewhat cheesy, they often had great body counts, and depicted more graphic violence [if you enjoy that kinda thing].
p.s. Good call Troy Yojimbo was stellar, as were most of Chaz B's flicks.

The Dollar Trilogy by Sergio Leone are must sees - i love listening to the commentary tracks, they provide great insight -, as is Once Upon a Time in the West, and i'd finish with his "closure" flick, A Fistful of Dynamite.
