my friends at eatmybrains.com have just put up some news for the 'from beyond' dvd art work.they have a little moan saying that the art work should have been the old vhs cover(i agree with them it was much better than this cover)but who knows it might change. www.eatmybrains.com/shownews.php?id=887

well ive just pre-ordered the r1 dvd & they are using the same cover so it looks like this is the artwork being used.

yeah its great its directed by stuart gordon & its another h.p lovecraft story.he did this after reanimator & it stars jeffrey combs,barbara crampton & ken foree.not as gory as re-animator but a great horror film.

Awesome, I usually like Gordon stuff. His Masters of Horror was my favorite along with Cigarette Burns from Season I. Dreams in the Witch House was great.

I remember hearing that Gordon hated the edited version of the movie. They chopped out like 35 minutes. Is the dvd the directors cut? That I would love to see.

I'll have to give that one a try. I can't say I'm a big fan of the movie but extra footage of Combs with his deedly bop in his forehead would make me give it another shot.

Is it a nice clean transfer? How's the sound? I'll be picking this up next week. Love this flick and pretty much anything Stuart Gordon does.
