I just got the audio book last night, I'll post a review when I finish it. It was like 900 mbs though so I think it must be pretty long.

So far I've only listened to the first 4 or so chapters but it seems really well done. He does a great job of mixing in real historical facts about Lincoln while filling gaps with believable anecdotes. My wife listened to the whole thing already and really enjoyed it, she's not a fan of vampire stories so that's a good sign. The audio book also has some extras at the end apparently such as an interview with the author. I'll add more as I progress through it.

Excellent book. Much blood and gore. Movie is currently in the works. I'm looking forward to this movie. The author wrote Pride and Prejudice and Zombies a bit over a year ago. I highly reccomend.
It starts of on Main Street in Rhinebeck, New York, three miles from the apartment I lived in for 20 months in the woods in the middle of no where over a decade ago. The place is creepy. I was convinced if I didn't leave, I would end up in those woods. Its about forty miles from the real Sleepy Hollow, NY. Creepy Upstate New York.

I have Pride and Prejudice and Zombies but haven't read it yet. I never put it together that it was the same author. The audio book was fantastic.

Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter is my second favorite horror book. Havn't read Pride and prejudice yet, I started it, but not ready for it's zany zombie-fighting Victorian sisters.
Everybody must read World War Z. Everybody. And The Zombie Survival Guide is awesome too. For those that don't know, the author, Max, is son of Mel Brooks. He is the equal of Romero now. Huge statement, I know.

So. I have two degrees. One was history. I didn't focus on all history. I skipped Europe, South and Central America, Canada - duh, and Asia except for the history of religion in Asia.
My all-time favorite president is Abe Lincoln. As a Texan, my least favorites have been LBJ, "W", and that good for nothing Georgian, Andrew Jackson.
As an Abe lover, this book was genius. It caught the Abe I know, and created a young man Abe that I rooted for throughout.
Mild SPOILER alert.
I like that he has a vampire ally. I loved the tieng-in of slavery and vampirism. I also enjoyed the vast dead-wing vampire cospiracy. A really good read. Nearly brought a tear to my eye near the very end. Snf.
Anybody a World War Z fan? It is equal to Night of the Living Dead, the film, as the best zombie story ever told. If a good team creates a film adaptation, it will be the Gone With the Wind/Godfather/Casablanca of zombie movies. Has to be done in three parts. Way too epic of a story to cover in two hours.
