I gotta say, in my life, nothing, nothing, nothing beats a wolf-dog jumping on the couch, laying down, and heavily but lovingly dropping a paw over my ankle. My heart lays within that beast. A ten year love affair. My wolfen other and my shaggy but shaved, goofy brother. I absolutely don't "own" my Lou boy. I just have the luxury to live with the boy.
Just started a movie, an anthology. In the first eight minutes there has been shout-outs to Kaufman, Tobe, and Orson. This will be my second full watch of a film I saw months ago, and also allowed me the pleasure to talk to two of the four directors.
Just opened a CHEAP but dignified can of Heineken. I am a friend to the Dutch, and if you knew me you would know why I say this Cheers! is to the Dutch nation.

Watched the classic Creepshow by George Romero for the first time. This movie is awesome, there's so many names and it got me to jump a few times. I'm glad I finally saw it.
Yeah LOB I've seen Campfire Tales before it isn't a good movie ,but I saw it when I was real young and have always kind of remembered it.

Personally, I don't like the idea of 30 minute shows counting as a whole point (I will have an unfair advantage, trust me), so how about no half points, but for every two episodes that are less than an hour in length, from the same series watched back to back, at our leisure, we earn one full point?
JAS, it's your month in the driver seat. Your thoughts?
And Ludite, what were you saying? You really lost me that time, buddy.
Somehow we are selling a six-pack of a Limey beer, Well's Bombardier English Premium Ale, for $3.99. Weak compared to what I actually respect (this is a boring as all fuck and weak little ale that drinks like a Mexican lager), but I won't beat that price ever again for a six-pack, so I'll learn to love this crappy little beer till we sell through it. Cheers!

Oh a Cheers! to the guy who bought a Bombardier six-pack after I had to convince him, really under-selling hard the better beer he had out of his hand, that if Bombardier sucked, the price didn't suck and I would be struggling through it with him tonight, but separately. So Cheers!
Dude, whoever you are and wherever you are at tonight, I'm sorry. But $3.99....... C'mon!

"Rosebud, Motherfucker"!
Chillerama had more quotes from other movies than anything I have ever encountered. My second watching of the whole film. This anthology has gay werebears, The Statue of Liberty in a thong and paisties, Hitler as a total bufoon, prosthetic penises, boobies, dildoes made out of silver, necrophilia, the last drive-in in America's closing night, zombies craving evil and nasty sex, lactating blue milk (who gets that reference), mutant spermatozoa, a surf-movie setting, cum jokes, feces and more feces, blow jobs and popcorn, a last girl who dies, guns and a grenade, the attic in The Frank House in Amsterdam, and so much lighthearted but utterly tasteless moments including a spoof on the infamous Divine/dog poop scene.
I liked it much the first time. Loved it now, and will be rewatching this and recommending it. A Cheers! to Lindsey who, poor thing, watched half the premier with me a few months back. Oh and yeah, watched my copy which Adam Green signed. A good man, so a Cheers! to him too, and one last one to JAS for actually being comfortable in his manhood enough to like this film.

If you are not JAS, don't watch this.
JAS, a present to you. I've gathered enough to know that you have good taste in film. Watch this sometime. A very special episode of The Twilight Zone, and one of my two favorites along with The Invaders starring Agnes Moorehead. Enjoy.
What the Hell. Rosebud....

My dear Brother Ludite,
As you know, I am not supreme, just a ludite. I have mentioned here that my self-given name is "Ham-fisty". My ex, aka my best friend, predicted that my skinny-fat finger would penetrate the screen of my uber-modern cell-phone, which I have detested since day three, or thirteen a year ago. Anyways, I never punctured the screen as predicted (there is tomorrow, not joking and not a threat, my fist will go through this particularly expensive piece o'shit, tomorrow, period).
A manager, and I swear I am not making this up, walked into the breakroom where I was hanging out with my soon to be annihilated (RIP motherfucker, you die tomorrow) cell-phone, and I had a spoon in my right hand holding it like a knife , trembling slightly with hostility and murder in my mind and heart, two inches above the soon to be fubarred phone. He is, let's say, "flamboyant", and he paused, looked, and said, "It took me three seconds to process what I was seeing..... What are you doing?". I told him I was about to murder my phone. Warranty passes and it goes to Hell. I call Shenanigans!!!!!!!
I ended up punching the phone a very few minutes later (the screen went wild, very colorful and entertaining stuff), which will meet a horrendous death tomorrow whether replaced or not. If I am off the grid, well fuck the grid and its expensive fragile gadgets. No more fancy screens that my fat-skinny fingers will test to their short-term limits. I'm finding something with buttons. God fearing buttons. Motherfucking phone is dead! DEAD!!! Aaaargh, pant, pant, growl.
But, you are still the Ludite Supreme. But the phone will meet a horror film end tomorrow...... The Colombian in me will teach that phone, that even now is chirping incoherently a few yards away, that I am a black-hearted ludite bastard.

Felt good to get that last post out of my system.
Just watched the second of three episodes from a dvd called Treasures of the Twilight Zone. a dvd anthology. And I gotta say, I have watched nearly every episode of The Twilight Zone, thank you, my brother David and 1980s cable and I believe Channel 5 from out of LA that ran 24 hour marathons of The Twilight Zone every New Years and Fourth of July.
I just watched an episode I have never seen before. It was a must see, but beyond controversial. Take it Wikipedia!
Aired on May 1, 1964 as President Lyndon Johnson was increasing United States involvement in the Vietnam War, the subject matter of Americans fighting Asians who "weren't human" was a notably pointed commentary. Its broadcast caused some controversy such that it was not aired again during regular syndication.
After its initial airing, "Encounter" triggered complaints from Japanese-Americans due to the backstory of the character played by Takei: he portrays a Nisei (the U.S.-born son of Japanese immigrants) whose father spied for the Japanese navy during the Pearl Harbor attack. There is no evidence of any Japanese-American disloyalty to the U.S.A. during that war. The controversial topic, and the complaints it engendered, caused this episode to be omitted from syndicated broadcasts of The Twilight Zone (although it was regularly shown on Canadian television for years). It is available on the DVD set The Twilight Zone: The Definitive Edition, and on streaming
The story is about the meeting of an American WWII veteran named Fenton (Neville Brand) and a young Japanese-American named Arthur Takamori (George Takei) who comes to Fenton's house looking for work, on a tip from a neighbor. Fenton is gruff, yet cordial, offering Takamori a beer up in his cluttered attic. Takamori is intent on work rather than conversation, but reluctantly agrees to Fenton's offer. In conversation, Arthur states that he changed his name from Taro, and Fenton politely responds.
Fenton coincidentally finds an old samurai sword which he says he got off a Japanese soldier whom he killed during the war twenty years earlier. Fenton asks about the inscription on the sword; Takamori claims to not be able to read Japanese. But when Fenton leaves briefly to fetch more beer, Takamori takes hold of the sword and says in an astonished way "I'm going to kill him. I'm going to kill him." Takamori hides the sword. Fenton comes back and notes its absence, but doesn't accuse Takamori; rather he acts confused at its misplacement.
They reveal more and more about themselves, Fenton admitting that he knows the inscription on the sword ("The sword will avenge me"), and challenges Takamori to admit that he can read Japanese. Takamori grows more uneasy and more confrontational. They have brief heated exchanges which then subside and reemerge again. Takamori moves to leave, but Fenton refuses to let him, insisting they drink another beer.
And on that note, drinking an Oskar Blues Gubna Imperial India Pale ale. My kind of drink. a Cheers! to Arthur and Fenton! I mean BANZAI, can you dig it!

Had to share this, currently watching this as an extra on my dvd. Two giants from my childhood. Wow, they smoked a lot back than.
And another favorite episode of mine. Do not watch if you have not watched "The Howling Man" or don't want to see it's end. SPOILERSPOILERSPOILER!
Drinking my last Bombardier of the night. The Limeys should be sad. Cheers!, I guess.

Hey LOB I actually like the idea where two thirty minute episodes from the horror anthology will count as 1 point.
